Rylee Rose, CPDT-KA

Rehabilitation Specialist
In-House Dog Trainer

Ever since she was a child, Rylee had an extreme affection for all animals. She was always that kid who would dig in the dirt looking for bugs rather than playing with toys. The curiosity towards animals she possessed as a kid led her down her current path…trying to find a career working with animals. She has worked at a number of kennels, none of which provided any opportunity for growth. All that changed when she started working at Petra’s Dog Resource Center. What started as a simple job cleaning up the kennel has reshaped into one full of opportunities. Rylee loves interacting with all the dogs in the kennel and enjoys giving them as much love and attention as possible. She is also very excited to continue her training in canine rehabilitation so she can work one-on-one with dogs in need and help them get back to their happy-old-selves.

Rylee has received the CPDT-KA (Certified Proffesional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed) certification which guarantees she has over 300 hours of dog training experience and has passed a lengthy written exam about training methods, dog behavior, training tools and more.

Currently, she has a handful of her own animals: two dogs, a cat, a bird, and a bearded dragon. In her free time Rylee enjoys playing with all her pets, but she also enjoys expressing her artistic side—oil painting, drawing and playing guitar are Rylee’s passions.
